Cognitive bias?

Does this:

Lead to this?
I was planning on going on some psychological babble on how others see us effects the way we see ourselves, but these over-sexualized images are depressing me.  I'm going to have stick my nose in a book to recover.

Awful goes amatuer Mappelthorpe (NSFW)

Oh yes, there are more winkte inspiration photos by Dan Nelson.
So when does the male nude cross over from fine art to porn?  When a fluffer is required.  None of Dan's photos have crossed into that territory, yet. (Yes, I checked all the knobs...didn't enjoy a second of it...thank you very much)
In some ways this is worse than the velvet-worthy painting.
He posed for this.  Obviously, this model thought this was an okay thing to do.  Alright, he isn't naked like many of the other Dan Nelson photos, but he's still wearing feathers. Reminds me of another cheesy  romance novel cover.
Should this image bother us?

Buh, where's the unicorn?

So, the world you and I know exists in a bowl.  That would explain why I keep falling down.  She's got the "Hollywood Indian" headband, too.  It must be holding her wig on. (I learned that little nugget of wisdom from watching REEL INJUN .)
Wait, what tribe is this woman?
Oh yeah, the Rainbow Tribe!
A few photos from their gatherings:

Need I say more?

The Spirit Path (aka Day Dreams of becoming Indian by Injection) (NSFW)

This one has it all. Loin cloth? Check. Mystic animal? Check. Man seeming to control the weather with his, er, staff? Check, check check.
This is from one of those romance novels called The Spirit Path by Madeline Baker

Here's an excerpt...

As Shadow Hawk lay there, his eyes closed against the pain, the Spirit Woman's image appeared before him. He had not been able to see her face clearly, only the glow of sun-gold skin and a riot of curly hair as black as the wings of his spirit bird. And even as he watched, the shadow of the black hawk he'd seen in his vision seemed to merge with the woman, and he heard a voice in the back of his mind, the voice of the shadow hawk...

She is waiting for you. The words were on more than the merest whisper, yet they rang loud and clear in his mind. You cannot fulfill your destiny without her.

Who was she? Why did her image intrude on his prayers and dreams? What power did she have over him, that he could not forget her; what magic did she possess that made him think of her day and night? What did she want of him?

Wow.  From what little I could read on Amazon, it sounds like she owns a Lakota dictionary.  It got awesome reviews, so if you're home alone with your cats...(Or you could just go to a 49 and write your own damn romance novel)

Oh, wow, there's more:
Comanches, Apaches, 'Akotas and Cheyennes all falling in love with white non-native girls.  This is what all bored, white-bread Non-Native, middle-class, suburban, soccer-moms think about in the shower, ennit?
By the way, this is Madeline Baker.

He's just not that into you (NSFW)

The ecstacy of the mystic blonde (PNSFW)

So, here we have mystic blond woman wearing nothing but blue eye shadow and roses. She seems to be enjoying her hummingbird company a little TOO much. Well, they are quite fast....O.o.
I know what you're wondering, does it come in velvet?
